12H Mugello : Car Collection Motorsport with big row!

On 17th and 18th of March 2017 the team Car Collection Motorsport from Walluf will start at the second round of the 24H Endurance Series. With no less than four Audi racing cars, the Equipe goes from the Rheingau to Tuscany to the HANKOOK 12H Mugello.

An endurance race is always a big challenge for a team. If you start at the same time with 4 vehicles in a 12-hour race, is an organizational and logistical masterpiece. The Team Car Collection Motorsport around Teamchef Peter Schmidt will face this challenge on the second round of the 24H Endurance Series on 17th and 18th of March.

First entry for the new Audi RS 3 LMS

On 3rd of February the new racing car from Ingolstadt was accepted. The Audi RS 3 LMS was developed for the highly booming TCR class. A 243 kW (330 hp) four-cylinder two-liter TFSI engine accelerates the Audi RS 3 LMS from 0 to 100 km / h in about 4.5 seconds. Car Collection Motorsport uses this vehicle for the first time at the HANKOOK 12H Mugello. The driver has not yet been finalized. They are still in some negotiations with interested drivers. Teamchef Peter Schmidt would like to receive further inquiries.

Denis Ferlemann (Team Manager): “We are very enthusiastic about our latest achievement. The TCR class is currently experiencing a boom and the Audi RS 3 LMS is just the right car to fight for success here. We are pleased that we have another member of the Audi family in the line with us and thank Audi Sport customer racing for their support and trust. “

Three Audi R8 LMS at the Marathon in Tuscany

In addition to the Audi RS 3 LMS, the tried and tested GT3 vehicles, three Audi R8 LMS, will be launched for the Walluf team. For the vehicle with the starting number 32 they are still in conversations with drivers. Max Edelhoff and Horst Felbermayr Jr., who share the “Felbermayr”-Audi R8 LMS with two other drivers, are already set. The number 33, Audi R8 LMS is piloted by Dirg and Dimitri Parhofer, as well as Johannes Siegler. The three gentlemen are supported by a professional driver. “Last but not least” the “Kirchhoff”-Audi R8 LMS is shared by Dr. Johannes Kirchhoff, Gustav Edelhoff, Elmar Grimm and Ingo Vogler. The quartet, which reached the 3rd place at the HANKOOK 24H Dubai with Max Edelhoff, would like to repeat the success or climb two more paces further up.

Peter Schmidt: “It is a great challenge for us to take part in the HANKOOK 12H Mugello with four vehicles. However, we will participate with at least three Audi R8 LMS in all 12-hour races of the 24H Endurance Series and 24-hour races with at least two vehicles. The last driver positions are not yet occupied. Interested drivers are welcome to contact me. An entry with our Porsche 991 GT3 Cup or the start in the new GT Retro Series with a SLS AMG GT3 or an Audi R8 LMS (MY2013) is conceivable.”
