JDC-Miller MotorSports today confirmed 19-year-old Ohio native Austin Cindric and 17-year-old Canadian Devlin DeFrancesco will join previously announced Simon Trummer and Robert Alon, to complete the team’s Rolex 24 at Daytona lineup in the No. 85 entry.

Cindric is one of the brightest and most versatile young American talents having already made starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, Pirelli World Challenge, Red Bull Global Rallycross, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He spent most of his time in 2017 competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series where he finished 3rd in the championship and scored one win, one pole position and 17 top-ten finishes.

Cindric and Robert Alon were also teammates for the 2017 Rolex 24 at Daytona as part of the Lexus GTD manufacture program.

“It is no secret JDC-Miller MotorSports surprised a lot of people this year, showing that this group is more than capable of fighting with the big dogs. It will be my first race in a prototype, so I have plenty to learn and absorb from my teammates. It is an exciting time in IMSA to be in a prototype, racing for an overall win, and I’m grateful to be part of it.” stated Cindric.

DeFrancesco, an open wheel standout and winner in the FIA European Formula 3 championship as well as the current 2017 Spanish Formula 3 champion, joins the team for his first run at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona.

“I am looking forward for a great run with JDC-Miller Motorsports in the Daytona 24. Will be a pleasure to compete against some of the best drivers in the world and I am 100% focused to do a good job behind wheel of the No. 85 Oreca. I want to say thank you to our partners that make it possible to join this team. Can’t wait for the Roar and for the race weekend”, said the 2017 Spanish F3 champion.

“Austin and Devlin are both enormous talents and we are thrilled to have them join us in the No. 85 for Daytona,” commented JDC-Miller MotorSports team Principal John Church.

“I have no doubt that both of them will familiarize themselves quickly with the ORECA 07 at the Roar and be up to speed in no time”.

The team recently announced a major partnership with GAINSCO Auto Insurance® for their two car program in 2018 as well as confirmed 2016 FIA World Endurance LMP2 and 24 Hours of LeMans Champion Gustavo Menezes as their 4th driver for the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona in the sister No. 99 Red DragonTM car.

More news about JDC Miller MotorSports 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship program is expected to be released soon.
