GT Racing for the ambitious amateur! Starting in 2017, the GT RETRO SERIES will present an attractive competition for GT cars up to 2015 as year of construction at challenging racetracks across Europe. The GT RETRO SERIES was purposely initiated for vehicles of the categories GT2-GT3-Specials as well as for the SP-X class, which already fascinated many racing drivers and fans in the past. To provide these bolides a new stage within the events of the “Creventic series”, seven of the most beautiful racetracks* in four different countries* across Europe were chosen to enable drivers and teams racing at the highest level. (*Changes are possible) Driving pleasure is guaranteed, because that’s what really matters in the GTRs :
Besides two races which are to be an hour in length, the cars can be driven three hours longer during qualifying sessions and taxi rides on a single racing weekend. The entry fee for each event is 6,999 €. This contains three sets of HANKOOK race tires for free as well as 300 liters of fuel (98 octane). Teams and applicants registering for the debut season of the GTRs by 31st January 2017 will profit not only from the cheap entry fee of 2,500 € but will also receive two FIA homologated racing suits per enlisted vehicle. Christoph Stoll, manager of the GTRs: “We are convinced that Hankook is the right tire partner for the GT RETRO SERIES. The championship consists of many traditional race tracks, including demanding circuits as Mugello/Italy or Paul Ricard/France. The premium-tires of Hankook will ensure that the drivers will be able to draw on the best performance possible.”
