Absolute Racing Adds Singha Plan B Audi for Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia Season Start

ADELAIDE STREET CIRCUIT, AUSTRALIA - MARCH 01: Bhurit Bhirombhakdi (TAI) Singha plan-B by Absolute Racing during the Round 1 and 2 - Adelaide at Adelaide Street Circuit on March 01, 2019 in Adelaide Street Circuit, Australia.

Singha Plan B by Absolute Racing will make its Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia return for the 2019 season-opener in Malaysia.

In addition to the full season Audi Sport Asia Team Absolute entries, Absolute Racing will run an additional Audi R8 LMS GT3 “Evo” under the Singha Plan B Motorsport by Absolute Racing banner in Sepang with a view to adding extra Blancpain GT Series Asia dates to its 2019 schedule.

The team’s regular Thailand Super Series line-up of Bhurit Bhirombhakdi and Kantasak Kusiri will drive the car run by the Chinese Absolute Racing squad. This race marks a return to familiar territory for Singha Plan B Motorsport by Absolute Racing. The team took part of Blancpain GT Series Asia rounds of Buriram and Fuji in 2017; with a 5th place in Pro/Am class as best result.

Singha Plan B Motorsport by Absolute Racing has been a regular entrant in the Audi R8 LMS Cup, securing the vice-champion title with Bhurit Bhirombhakdi in 2018. The team also enjoyed success in GT Asia Series and GT Masters Asia with overall race wins last season, as well as taking a podium at the inaugural SIC888 endurance race in Shanghai, China.

Continuing a long-standing partnership, Absolute Racing will also provide technical support to B-Quik Racing. Henk Kiks and Daniel Bilski will join the grid for the first two rounds of the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia series in their Audi R8 LMS GT3.

For Team Director Ingo Matter, the addition of Singha Plan B Motorsport entry and B-Quik partnership renewal are welcome ones.

“We are pleased to work again with Singha Plan B Motorsport in the opening rounds of 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia. Bhurit and Kantasak have the consistency and ability to challenge at the front of the field in the Pro/Am class. We are hoping for a good weekend. Likewise Absolute Racing is focused on providing the best technical service to our local partners, and we are proud to continue our technical partnership with B-Quik Racing. We’re excited to work with them further and help Henk and Daniel show their potential in GT3”, he said.
