Target Racing heads into the International GT Open finale high in confidence after a stellar showing at Monza one month ago, fielding two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 cars in the OPPO livery.
The team of Roberto Venieri is set for the seventh and last round of the season at the Montmeló Circuit this coming weekend, when newcomers Adrian Zaugg and Christoph Lenz will respectively join regular drivers Alberto Di Folco and Stefano Costantini.
Swiss-South African Zaugg, who claimed the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Silver Cup title three weeks ago at the same Spanish venue, already raced a Lamborghini in the last five years and became the 2015 Italian GT Champion in the Huracán Super Trofeo class. The 31-year-old will pair with Di Folco, completing a PRO duo. The Italian – together with Loris Spinelli – secured a fantastic fourth overall place at his home track late last September.
Costantini will share with Lenz another Target Racing-run Lamborghini in the AM class. The Rome-based driver celebrated with Bernard Delhez a podium finish at Monza – that was his third of the season.
Lenz, a 39-year-old Swissman, has a huge experience in the endurance races, including this year’s Daytona 24h with a Lamborghini Huracán GTD car.
