The Guatemalan driver Andres Saravia will participate in 2018 International GT Open season as BMW Team Teo Martín driver in PRO class.
Saravia knows well part of the team because he was Emilio de Villota’s driver in his first Formula 3 season in 2013 (former European F3 Open).
Now, after 3 years in Formula 3 and a first contact with the GT’s in 2016 and 2017 including some races in the International GT Open, the Guatemalan driver is ready for his first full year in this championship after being crowned as National Champion in GT1 class.
Saravia participated with the team in a winter test in which the feeling was immediate and now they will work hard in the preseason to maximize the union and be able to translate the work into results.
Andrés Saravia
“I’m very happy to join BMW Team Teo Martin in 2018. I have always seen the team as the most professional and best prepared team in the International GT Open and after winter testing we realized that this was indeed the case. It will be my first full year in the championship but I don’t put limits to myself. I’m ready to fight and I will give my best in each race”.
Teo Martín, Team Owner
“This will be our fourth consecutive season in the International GT Open and the truly aim is to fight again for both titles as we did in the previous years. Andrés will be an interesting asset for the team because we saw during testing that he can be very fast with the right weapons. We are really happy because the work was easy from the begging with him and I hope he will give us joys very soon!“.
