B-Quik extends relationship with Audi Sport

B-Quik will set another milestone as we enter first lady driver in Super Car.

B-Quik Racing Co. Ltd. TM (“B-Quik Racing”) is pleased to announce a step forward in our long running relationship with Audi Sport customer racing Asia.

The next two rounds of Thailand Super Series (TSS) will see Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup mentors Rahel Frey and Adderly Fong joining Daniel Bilski in Super Car GTM+.

This year we are entering an Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3 in Super Car GTM+, which was shared during the opening round, held in Sepang last month, by Daniel Bilski and Henk J. Kiks. It proved to be a solid debut for the pair in our new GT3 car and they enjoyed a trip to the podium.

In Buriram, on 1-3 June, Henk will switch across to our new second entry into GTM+ and we’re pleased that Frey will be available to pair up the Australian for the two 1-hour races.

The Swiss racer knows the ‘R8 LMS GT3’ cars inside out so she’s clearly going to be an invaluable addition to the line-up. Her technical knowledge of the machine is unrivalled as she raced across Asia in the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup from 2013-16, building on the previous two seasons which she spent as an Audi factory driver in DTM.

Frey will come to Thailand fresh from being one of the Cup’s professional mentors at the Nürburgring rounds two weeks ago.

Of course, we’re also delighted to set a new milestone in becoming the first team to ever enter a female driver in the premier national category, TSS Super Car.

Moving forward to the third round of the year in Bangsaen, Daniel will be partnered by another Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup mentor, Adderly Fong. His credentials speak for themselves and along with Daniel’s experience with both the car and the Bangsaen Street Circuit we’re confident this is a line-up that can get the job done.

Lastly, B-Quik Racing will make an entry into the final round of the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup 2018, which takes place at Sepang Circuit on 24-25 November. It will neatly bookend a year that saw Daniel and B-Quik Racing enter the opening round of the ‘one make’ series in Adelaide back in March.

In a sign of the evolved partnership, the #27 Audi will carry “Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup” logos for Buriram and Bangsaen.

We first raced an Audi in 2014 when we entered a single R8 LMS Cup in Super Car, eventually expanding to run three cars at times last year in the inaugural GTM Plus category which culminated in our first Teams’ title – the most prestigious award in Thai motorsport – after Daniel drove a sensational race in torrential race during the last race of the season to eclipse all the more powerful GT3 cars and win overall. It was the perfect way to round off our programme with the ‘Cup’ level car.

During that period from 2014-17, we also entered the Sepang 12 Hours three times, with three trips to the podium that netted victory in 2016, third place in 2015 and runner up in 2014. We also entered the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup championship, with Daniel, in 2015, winning the Am Cup, before following that up in 2016 with the Masters Cup. It could hardly have worked out better.

B-Quik Racing is supported by B-Quik Co. Ltd. TM (“B-Quik”), Thailand’s premier automotive servicing chain with 146 service centers nationwide.

Henk J. Kiks (Managing Director, B-Quik Racing): “We’re very pleased to be able to develop further our relationship with Audi as we head into our fifth season racing with their products. We have enjoyed lots of success with the R8 LMS so far, not least winning the Sepang 12 Hours and, just last year, bagging the Thailand Super Series Super Car team title so we know their cars are fast, capable and reliable while the technical support we have always received has been exemplary. This step forward is great for B-Quik Racing. We are really motivated and will be working extra hard to take full advantage of this opportunity and deliver results this year.”

Daniel Bilski: “I am absolutely delighted by the announcement of B-Quik Racing’s extended relationship with Audi Sport Customer Racing. Having been involved with Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup and B-Quik Racing for a number of years has been an incredibly rewarding journey for me personally, as a driver and as a competitor. I’m really excited to showcase Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup branding on our car in Buriram and Bangsaen, and to have two awesome ‘Cup’ mentors as driving partners for the upcoming races. I know Rahel and Adderly well and it’s really exciting to be driving with them for the first time in the coming races. We are there to perform, and to get results, but just as importantly, I’m sure we will have a lot of fun. I can’t wait. Finally, a very big thank you to all of our sponsors and partners for their support.”
