The GT4 European Series Northern Cup will welcome a new team this season following Bullitt Racing’s decision to enter a McLaren 570S GT4 for former Bentley factory driver Andy Meyrick and Stephen Pattrick.
Malaga-based Bullitt Racing took delivery of its new car at the end of January and completed the first test at the Ascari Race Resort in southern Spain, under the watchful eye of experienced team principal David Price.
Meyrick brings a wealth of experience to the team. The 31-year-old raced for Bentley in the Blancpain GT Series and was also part of the DeltaWing lineup in the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
“I’ve been keeping a very close eye on the GT4 championship for the last couple of years now, I really admire the racing and the close competition,” said Meyrick.
“The team is well organised and I’m sure will be competitive very quickly, this was a key part of my decision to take the role.”
“We were looking for an experienced GT racer to lead our team and take the fight straight to the front, Andy is perfect for the role. We are delighted to have him onboard,” added Price.
Pattrick is getting set to make the move to the GT4 European Series Northern Cup after competing in the Andalusian Historic Touring Car & GTI Championships in recent years.
This season’s GT4 European Series Northern Cup gets underway at Misano on April 1/2.
