2017 China’s first prototype race event – FRD LMP3 Series had been a great success in China motorsport. Ultimate race meetings with International teams and drivers had brought the series to a higher level. After the amazing debut season, FRD LMP3 Series will now be subordinated to China Endurance Series by 2018, bringing a lot of excitement to the world motorsport. And today 2017 CAMF Annual General Meeting had held in Ningbo with organizers, promoters, and motorsport officials in China gathering together to witness the official launching announcement of China Endurance Series.
Zhuhai Formula Racing Development had been promoting China motorsport for 22 years, while they brought the prototype series to China in 2017. With the full support from CAMF, this will help Chinese prototype drivers to have the opportunity to get in touch with the International series, especially the 24h of Le Mans. The successful FRD LMP3 Series will become one of the main series within China Endurance Series.
FRD LMP3 Series had made a great debut season, bringing Chinese and International top drivers to the race meetings, while celebrities Aaron Kwok from Hong Kong and Jimmy Lin from Taiwan had led their FS Sport and PTRS to finish the season with great results and response from the public. 38 drivers from 16 countries had competed in 4 races in 2017, including Ma Qing Hua, Martin Cao, Rainey He, Leo Ye and more. The teaming up between Chinese and International drivers had also brought the races into another level of excitement to the audience. In addition, the exposure of the series had been spreading all over China by TV Live, CCTV5 coverage, 30+ Live Steaming Channels including Youtube and Facebook. Attention was caught broadly within a few months.
China Endurance Series will be attracting more International drivers and teams to join the races, while bringing more skills and technical knowledge to the Chinese teams. FRD believes that Chinese Endurance Series will have more potential freshmen joining the China motorsport industry, and led them to the promoting path to the International stage. China Endurance Series will become one of the greatest platform to bring future stars to the top tier of motorsport racing world.
