China Equity Racing Confirms Four Aston Martin GT4 Cars for China GT

China Equity Racing will make its debut in the 2017 China GT Championship, confirming four Aston Martin GT4 cars in all 6 events with support from Prodrive.

China Equity Racing is fully-owned by the China Equity Group, a prominent private equity and venture capital investment firm that invested in Aston Martin and received authorisation from Aston Martin Racing to run its operations in China.  In addition, China Equity Racing will also be supported by strategic partner Global Wings, ensuring it will make a name for itself in Chinese motor racing.

Global Wings provides premium services in business aircraft sharing and charter.  It leverages unique resources and a team of experts who have varied backgrounds and contacts in aircraft sales, ground handling, media and communications, and staffing.  Global Wings commands over 4,600 business jets each year; it has completed trips to over 300 cities and serviced over one hundred thousand passengers globally, effectively saving clients a valuable 3.5 million hours of travel time. To date, Global Wings has received international recognition and is regarded as Asia’s top business aircraft service group.

“China GT Championship is China’s top circuit racing championship and racing at a top level is what Aston Martin Racing is renowned for” China Equity Racing’s Operations Director said. “Our partnership with China GT is a match made in heaven and is sure to inject more on-track excitement.  As a newcomer to the GT4 class, our goal this year is to explore the sport and learn best practices from other competitors, whilst aiming for the podiums along the way.”

Aston Martin Racing claimed last year’s FIA WEC championship in GTE Pro class.  Powered by the successful British manufacturer, China Equity Racing will have the opportunity to take the fight to the established teams and is on-course to make a strong showing in 2017.
