Double podium for FFF Racing in Dubai Super Trofeo Middle East

FFF Racing by ACM enjoyed a successful second round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East this weekend (17-18 February, 2017) notching up a further two podium positions to add to the one claimed last week in Abu Dhabi.

Once again, the team fielded the #15 Lamborghini with Carrie Schreiner and Richard ‘Spike’ Goddard in the Pro-class and the #5 with Jack Bartholomew and Parth Ghorpade in the Pro-Am.

Qualifying saw Bartholomew record the third fastest time ahead of Friday’s race with Schreiner lining up in sixth position. The race itself saw Schreiner and Goddard make gains, just missing out on the runner-up spot in the final few laps. Bartholomew and Ghorpade meanwhile finished fifth on the road in what was a closely fought battle.

Saturday’s race followed a similar pattern with Schreiner and Goddard again taking the third position to make it three podiums from four rounds this year in the #15 Lamborghini. However, this time Bartholomew and Ghorpade had to be content with tenth position following contact with a rival.

“We’ve had a fantastic time in Dubai, the cars ran flawlessly in both races while Spike and Carrie put in tremendous performances to secure us another two podium positions,” FFF Racing Team Owner Sean Fu Songyang. “Both drivers put in flawless performances; especially Carrie who is really stepping up her game and is making outstanding progress.

“The sister #5 Lamborghini also had a good weekend, it’s just a shame that Parth lost so much time after contact with another car in the second race. Still, the results are good overall and we look forward to returning here soon and adding further to the podium tally.”

The third round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East will take place at the Dubai Autodrome 2-4 March 2017.
