Drivex to continue positive momentum with Hahn / Khodair at Paul Ricard

Both Brazilian drivers posted a new record for GT3 cars at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and will now complete another two-day test with their Drivex Mercedes AMG GT3 in Le Castellet, which hosts the second and last round of this year’s Winter Series

Drivex will enter their Mercedes AMG GT3 for the second International GT Open’s Winter Series event at Circuit Paul Ricard on Friday and Saturday. The historic track in southern France will offer another two-day testing for Marcelo Hahn and Allam Khodair will focus on laying foundation for the season ahead.

In Barcelona, two weeks ago, both Brazilian drivers managed to break the GT3 pole record by almost half a second. On this basis Hahn, Khodair and Drivex are pretty optimistic for Paul Ricard and expect to add extra experience for the circuit hosting Round 2 of the International GT Open in May. Paul Ricard saw Hahn taking his season-best result last year as he finished 3rd overall and secured Pro-Am class with Alan Hellmeister.

There are eight one-hour test sessions scheduled, four per day.

Miguel Ángel de Castro: “We head to Paul Ricard full of optimism because our feedback in Barcelona proved we are on the right way, even when we tried different set-up solutions. Our weekend was amazing in Le Castellet in 2017 because we took win in Pro-Am class and our pace was maybe stronger than ever that season in the International GT Open. We learnt a lot of things and building up on our basis from last year I think we will have an excellent performance throughout both days. It’s going to be our last chance to test on track with our rivals, so we want to continue topping timesheets.”
