With the Season Opener of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, Emil Frey Jaguar Racing is officially starting the new season. At the high-speed circuit at the Autodromo Nazionale in Monza, the Swiss team is aiming for a Top-10 result with both their Emil Frey GT3 Jaguar.
Every year, the three-hour race in Monza marks the start to the worldwide highly acclaimed Endurance Cup. The Endurance Cup consists of four races plus the exciting 24-hours of Spa, in which the strong competitors will fight hard for the point finishes. Emil Frey Jaguar Racing has had a string of bad luck in Monza in past years and hopes to secure a good result following the successfully completed tests ahead of the season.
“We suffered a lot of bad luck last year with a tyre puncture right before the end of the race and we could also not be satisfied with the results in previous years”, says Lorenz Frey, Team Principal Emil Frey Jaguar Racing. “Monza is a track that asks for good performance with low downforce, a good engine power, aerodynamic efficiency and good breaks, all attributes the GT3 Jaguar features. The tests went well and therefore we are highly-motivated for the first race of the year and would like to achieve a good result.”
