The season is far from over for FFF Racing by ACM – who have competed in the Blancpain GT Series Asia, Super Trofeo Asia as well as International GT Open – as they prepare for the unique challenge that is the FIA GT World Cup to be held at the 64th running of the Macau Grand Prix weekend between 16-19 November.
The Chinese-based team enjoy factory support from Lamborghini and will be fielding Mirko Bortolotti for the second straight year. The Italian qualified 12th in the 2016 edition of the race in his Lamborghini Huracan GT3 and went on to finish in ninth place overall, fifth in class, in what was an incident strewn race with few opportunities for racing.
Since then Bortolotti has been competing in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup where alongside FFF Racing Team Principal Andrea Caldarelli, he secured the drivers’ championship in style. With the ultra-successful season behind him, he and the team have high hopes for a strong showing at Macau.
“Lamborghini Squadra Corse is proud to be back again in the FIA GT World Cup in Macau with a top team like FFF Racing by ACM,” said Head of Motorsport of Automobili Lamborghini, Giorgio Sanna.
“We’re look forward to this important challenge and we’re glad to support the team, for the second year in a row, with our Factory Driver Mirko Bortolotti, one of the most talented drivers in the GT scene worldwide which this year brought at Sant’Agata Bolognese the Blancpain GT Series championship.”
