FFF Racing withdraws from Asian Le Mans Series curtain-closer in Malaysia

FFF Racing Team has withdrawn from the Asian Le Mans Series ahead of the curtain-closing 4 Hours of Sepang in Malaysia on 20-22 January.

The race and title-winning squad from China has participated in all three rounds of the 2016-17 Asian LMS thus far, with Japan’s Hiroshi Hamaguchi and British Pro Matt Bell spearheading the assault in a sole Lamborghini Huracan GT3.

However, FFF Racing will not partake in the Asian LMS’s four-hour finale at the Sepang International Circuit, having already acquired as much knowledge and experience as it can under the series’ regulations.

The Roger Dubuis-supported team will instead focus on preparations for a full-scale attack on the SRO’s GT Series Asia, as well as its Young Driver Development Programme in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East and Asia.

FFF Racing will take two GT3-spec Lamborghinis into the newly-launched GT Series Asia and is confident that it will have a fair shot at winning races and championships on the platform, given the SRO’s strong and appealing track-record for providing a level playing field in Europe.
