I.S.R. racing at the start of the ADAC GT Masters 2018 with Salaquarda and Stippler

A new challenge lies ahead for I.S.R. racing that is delighted to make official its participation to the ADAC GT Masters 2018 with an Audi R8 LMS driven by Filip Salaquarda (CZ) and Frank Stippler (GER).

This is the maiden presence of the Czech outfit to this highly spectacular series that will take place on very important circuits where grand touring racing has always attracted a lot of fans and drivers. The ADAC GT Masters has been first run in 2007 under this name, and has increased its popularity on the international scene over the years featuring the participation of some of the big names of these competitions.

I.S.R. racing will line up Filip Salaquarda and Frank Stippler, two very experienced drivers that have already shared driving duties in the past few years, including last year’s participation to this series on the Audi R8 LMS run by BWT Mücke Motorsport. This is going to be Salaquarda’s second participation in the ADAC GT Masters after the debut in 2017. Class 1984, the Czech driver got a great experience in seven years of GT cars racing, after the debuts on open wheel racing. He run 276 races and ended 15 times on the podium.

Audi Sport driver Frank Stippler has taken part in the ADAC GT Masters last year, as well as in former years. He is one of the most experienced drivers of the Audi R8 LMS as he is working together with Audi Sport customer racing from the very beginning on. Stippler claimed the victory at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2012, won the Spa 24 Hours in 2012, ended second in the FIA GT Series in 2013 and won numerous VLN endurance races at the Nürburgring. Last season, he also won the Audi Sport TT Cup Race of Legends.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):
“Taking part in the ADAC GT Masters 2018 is going to be very exciting for us. This Audi R8 LMS is an extraordinary car. Our driver pairing clocked already a lot of miles and has a lot of experience in this series. We will have to face the challenge of unknown circuits though and very strong rivals, but we are motivated not to waste any occasion and to show our speed since the first race in the calendar”.

The first round of the ADAC GT Masters 2018, that will include seven racing weekends featuring two 60 minutes long races each, is scheduled at the Motorsport Arena of Oschersleben next April 13th to 15th.
