Interest high for Series Elite

Interest in the brand-new concept of racing, Series Elite, is thriving, with over fifty enquiries to date and six drivers confirming their entry in to the Jaguar F-Type SVO GT4 powered championship.

Interest has come from a variety of different circles, including current racers, total novices, and even some overseas competitors. Only a little over two weeks after the series was revealed at Stratstone Jaguar in Mayfair, London, the Series’ popularity looks promising indeed.

Series Elite is a new one-make racing series with a lower-age restriction of 50 years, affording the more mature drivers an opportunity to compete on a level-playing field. The new Jaguar F-TYPE SVO in GT4 specification is the car of choice, while there’s an anticipated field of twenty cars for 2019.

Drivers signing up early for the full 2019 calendar also get the opportunity to join a ten-car grid at Brands Hatch, in Kent, later this year. While drivers requiring the correct level of race license will be able to compete in a BARC run closed event of 6 races to upgrade to National A status in September this year.

Series Director, Graeme Glew, is in buoyant mood as the championship begins to take shape; It’s great to finally start promoting the Series and being able to talk to potential customers who are serious about racing with like minded competitors. Interest has come from a variety of drivers, including the enquiries coming in from overseas. It’s been a long journey to get this far and I’m looking forward to seeing these fabulous race cars line up on the grid at Brands Hatch in October” added Glew.

Series Elite will officially take to the track for the first time at Brands Hatch on the 27/28 October.
