Jetstream Motorsport is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Aston Martin Edinburgh as it prepares to raise the curtain on its maiden season in the British GT Championship.
The Bruntingthorpe-based team has set a course for Oulton Park in Cheshire for the opening round of the 2018 British GT season (31 March-2 April) while celebrating the start of an esteemed and potentially lucrative relationship with Aston Martin Edinburgh, which is recognised as the home of Aston Martin in Scotland and stands as a jewel in The Leven Car Company’s crown.
The Leven Car Company was founded when Hugh McMahon was awarded the franchise for two of the world’s most esteemed automotive marques – Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce.
McMahon, who has worked in the motor trade since he was a teenager, and his son Chris proudly uphold the highest standards throughout their business and this is reflected in the loyalty shown by the company’s discerning customers and staff and its recent expansion into a second showroom.
A carefully selected team offers a wealth of experience to customers who visit the 14-car showroom in the West of Edinburgh, which is a showcase of new and used Aston Martin road cars that is complemented by a state-of-the-art Service Department, staffed by highly skilled and experienced technicians.
With a renascent Aston Martin currently delivering record sales growth, Aston Martin Edinburgh sought opportunities to leverage this forward momentum and recognised Jetstream Motorsport’s British GT programme as a prime opportunity to aid growth and raise brand awareness.
Having pledged its support to Jetstream Motorsport, Aston Martin Edinburgh branding will feature on the #47 Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3’s striking white and orange livery for the duration of the 2018 season.
It will benefit from the championship’s global television coverage, live streams and regular print and online content in the leading motorsport press, plus exposure to the 60,000 trackside spectators and a plethora of opportunities to raise brand awareness, network at a national level and entertain guests.
Roddy McAllister, Aston Martin Edinburgh Dealer Principal, said: “It is our absolute pleasure to have been given the opportunity to sponsor Jetstream Motorsport in this year’s British GT Championship. Graham Davidson and his brother have been loyal customers of ours for a long time, so it’s great to be able to reward that loyalty through support for Graham and Jetstream Motorsport’s racing programme. There’s currently a massive buzz about Aston Martin and, with the added success and profile of Aston Martin Racing, sponsoring Jetstream Motorsport makes complete sense.”
Aberdeen-based racing driver Graham Davidson, who shares Jetstream Motorsport’s V12 Vantage GT3 with Aston Martin Racing works driver Maxime Martin, said: “It’s great to have the support of my local Aston Martin dealer as Jetstream Motorsport and I step up to British GT. It’s an exciting time for Aston Martin and Aston Martin Racing, with new products like the Vantage and Vantage GTE hitting the road and track, and I hope this partnership benefits both parties.
“The people at Aston Martin Edinburgh are great to deal with. I’ve known many of the team there for a number of years as a customer and a friend. I look forward to the opportunities ahead and some great weekends through 2018 at the various circuits and corporate events on the calendar.”
The 2018 British GT Championship commences at the picturesque and undulating Oulton Park circuit over Easter (31 March-2 April).
