It will be Brands Hatch, the track in Kent with its unique personality and rich tradition, to provide the scenery for Kevin Ceccon’s comeback in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup. Following a one-off in the Endurance Cup at Monza’s home round, the Bergamo-born driver returns to his main 2017 race programme, at the wheel of the Audi R8 by ISR Racing shared with Frank Stippler. Brands Hatch is known as being an old-school track, which hasn’t been modified much over the years, keeping its original design and giving a fascinating retro touch to all events. Adored by race fans, it also attracts huge crowds from nearby London.

“I am very anxious to be back in action for the second round of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup. Monza’s one-off was an excellent opportunity to cover more mileage with a GT car, but now it’s time to re-take things in the Sprint cup from where we left them at Misano. Our potential is good and, together with the team, we’ll try to start from there. I never drove at Brands Hatch with a tin-top car, but I have, of course, references from my days in Formula 3. To have the entire event programme in only two days will be new, but certainly an interesting experience”.
