Audi has extended its partnership with the Danish family-owned company MASCOT® WORKWEAR that develops work clothes and safety shoes. The 2019 DTM will see a MASCOT WORKWEAR Audi RS 5 DTM on the grid for the first time, driven by Loïc Duval.
The Frenchman is tackling his third season in Audi Sport Team Phoenix and is pleased about the livery of his Class 1 race car. “Red is one of my favorite colors,” says the Le Mans winner and World Endurance Champion. “It fits my helmet well, which has some red areas. Red is also absolutely the favorite color of my son Martin, who will no doubt support me even more.”
“I hope I can make a big step like the one I made from 2017 to 2018 and build on the good performance we had at the end of last season,” says Duval. Over the winter he worked intensively with his new race engineer, Philipp Kluth, to perfectly prepare himself for the new season. “He’s been with Phoenix for a long time and is intimately familiar with the DTM. I’m already excited about the new turbo engines and about Aston Martin as a new rival. Both are cool for the series.”
