M1 GT Racing Announces James Dayson and Jason Bell for Sprint X Event in Utah

Entering another Pirelli World Challenge Sprint X GTS event, defending series champions M1 GT Racing announce that drivers James Dayson and Jason Bell will co-pilot the M1 GT Audi R8 LMS this coming weekend in Utah. Taking place at the 24-turn, 3.048 mile Utah Motorsports Campus, Dayson and Bell will look to utilize their speed and experience to take them to the top step of the podium.

“I am excited to get back to the track and have James and Jason behind the wheel,” explains M1 GT Racing’s Remi Lanteigne. “We have taken a brief hiatus but are happy to be back. Both drivers have loads of experience and should be a threat for the Sprint X GTS Am/Am race win.”

After several years of sports car racing and Pirelli World Challenge experience, Jason Bell brings his talents to the M1 GT Racing squad.

“I’m extremely excited to have this opportunity to race with such a great team in an awesome machine like the Audi R8 LMS,” expresses Bell. “Racing in this class and it being the top of sports car racing ladder in North America, is going to be great experience for me and I can not wait to get started. I am also happy to announce that I will be part of the M1 GT Racing family at the Circuit of the Americas in September and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in October.”

Competing in multiple classes over the course of the weekend, Bell will not be limited on track time. “I will have a lot of seat time in Utah as I will also be competing in the GTS and GT divisions so I will have track knowledge and information on changing conditions that should help M1 GT Racing, James and myself. I look forward to partnering with such a great group of people and will be shooting to bring home some hardware in the Sprint X GTS Amateur class.”

James Dayson also showed his excitement about being back behind the wheel of an M1 GT Racing prepared Audi. “After the long summer break I’m pumped to get back at it in Sprint X. I’ve kept myself busy racing other series including IMSA and ELMS but I’m anxiously awaiting having our 2016 Audi R8 back on the track. We haven’t had her since April and I can’t wait. I’m excited to have Jason Bell join me for the rest of the season. It’s going to be good for us knowing that we can build some synergy to close the 2017 season.”

With a promoter’s test day planned for Thursday and official practice slated for Friday, qualifying for will take place Saturday morning before wheel-to-wheel action commences Saturday afternoon for race one and Sunday afternoon for race two.

While M1 GT Racing has supporters for their racing endeavors, both James Dayson and Jason Bell bring personal marketing partners to the program. Supporting Bell at all three of his planned events include Continental Benefits, GridSport and M1 GT Racing while Dayson will fly the flag of Kilauea Investments, Elite Performance and Music Heals.
