Paul Miller Racing Returns to Mid-Ohio as Championship Points Leaders

Six weeks after a victorious performance at the Twelve Hours of Sebring, Paul Miller Racing enters the next round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as the GTD class point leaders. With two podiums in as many races, the No. 48 TOTAL Lubricants/UIS Huracán Lamborghini race team will be a strong contender for victory at Sunday’s sprint race.

The series returns to Mid-Ohio SportsCar course for the first time since 2012, a track where driver Bryan Sellers celebrated a GTLM win in 2011. Born in Dayton, Ohio, Sellers’ ample experience at the Lexington circuit will be utilized throughout the event.

“I’m very excited that we are returning to Mid-Ohio,” said Sellers. “It’s always been an event that produces great racing and a fantastic fan turnout. It’s seems like it’s been a long break since Sebring and I know everyone at Paul Miller Racing is ready to get back to work. This race starts to kick of the meat of the season and will be important to get a good result here. It is a track unlike any other we go to. Hopefully we have a strong car and a good showing.”

Co-driver Madison Snow raced at the 2.4-mile, 15-turn road course once previously in another series, and will take advantage of the event’s three hours of practice sessions before Sunday’s race. The young American has proven to be a quick study, and will have no time getting up to speed in the Huracán Lamborghini.

“I am looking forward to be heading to Mid-Ohio,” said Snow. “I have only raced this track once so it is almost a new track for me, which is going to make it fun. The car felt good at the test, but I think we can find a little more speed. I know my Paul Miller Racing guys will give me a great car once we get there. Then it’s just up to me to get up to speed on track. We’re doing really well in points, and I’m excited to get out there and see what we can do.”
