Phoenix Racing has confirmed Dutch racing driver Milan Dontje will race in the GT4 European Series this season. The 22-year-old Dutchman raced in the Audi Sport TT Cup in 2017 and will join Nicolaj Møller Madsen, Gosia Rdest and Cédric Freiburghaus in one of the Audi R8 LMS GT4s.
Team boss Ernst Moser was impressed with what he saw in 2017. “During last season’s DTM weekends, I had the chance to get a positive first impression of Milan. In his Audi Sport TT Cup races, he showed his talent and was mostly in fights for podium finishes,” said Moser.
“It is going to be an interesting season and we are looking forward competing in the GT4 European Series, with young drivers like Milan,” Moser added.
Dontje is very much looking forward to the new season, which will kick off at Circuit Zolder in April. “I’m extremely happy to be part of such an experienced team! This season, the focus will be on learning and trying to get the best results with my teammate.”
