Racing Team Nederland has entered the FIA World Endurance Championship, making it the first Dutch team to compete in the world championship for sportscars since its inception in 2012.
Racing Team Nederland made its debut in this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours and European Le Mans Series, running a Dallara P217 in the LMP2 class. The team has now submitted its entry for the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship.
The forthcoming world championship has been labelled the Super Season, comprising 8 races on 6 circuits in 6 countries in Europe, Asia and the USA. The opening round will be the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on 5 May 2018, followed by the world famous Le Mans 24 Hours on 16/17 June.
Thereafter, there will be 6 Hour-races in Silverstone (19 August, UK), Fuji (21 October, Japan) and Shanghai (18 November, China). On 16 March 2019 the Sebring 1500 Miles will be held in the USA, followed on 4 May by the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The Super Season’s final round is the 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours on 15-16 June.
With entries from manufacturers such as BMW, Ferrari, Toyota, Ford, Porsche and Aston Martin, the 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship is expected to attract more than 30 cars. Early February 2018 all entrants will be announced.

The coming weeks, Racing Team Nederland will orientate itself regarding the drivers who will race its LMP2 Dallara P217 alongside Frits. Subsequently, the team will present all details of its FIA World Endurance Championship 2018/19 during its official press launch next year.
