SPS Automotive Performance today confirmed that it will run two Mercedes AMG GT3 in the 2019 International GT Open. Alongside ValentinPierburg-Tom Onslow-Cole, who will defend their Pro-Am title, will be Miguel Ramos and Fabrizio Crestani, entered in the Pro class.
The stellar duo needs no presentation in the series, as long-standing contender Ramos (48) is a former Champion (2015) and double runner-up (2013-14), albeit the winner of 17 races. Fabrizio Crestani (31) is also a former GT Open Champion, having clinched the title in 2016. The Portuguese and the Italian already raced together last year, coming a very close runner-up in the Pro-Am class behind … their new team mates at SPS!
In a statement, the Obersulm-Wilssbach-based team led by Stephen Sohn commented: “With these two cars the team SPS Automotive Performance is perfectly positioned for the International GT Open Season 2019 to continue the outstanding performance of the last years! We are looking forward to the International GT Open 2019 and would be happy if our supporters would support us again this year through our social media channels!”
The team also revealed the 2019 racing liveries of both cars, pictured hereafter.
