Riccardo Agostini is set for his International GT Open debut with the winning team Imperiale Racing, sharing the wheel of the #25 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 with young Dutchman Rik Breukers.
The 23-year-old Italian racer, after having won last year both the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America and the Imola’s World Final, returns to the Sant’Agata Bolognese’s brand, playing the role of GT3 Junior Program driver since 2016.
Agostini and 19-year-old Breukers will join the series with four Lamborghini Super Trofeo titles under their belt. Together they already claimed early this February a double victory in the Middle East.
By the other hand, the Imperiale Racing squad represents a guarantee, having already claimed last year the International GT Open Driver and Team Championship. The mission of Agostini his to defend the leadership that Lamborghini imposed in the last two years.
The International GT Open calendar will include 7 events. The 2018 season kicks off on 14/15 April at the Portoguese circuit of Estoril, followed by Paul Ricard (France, 5/6 May), Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium, 9-10 giugno), Hungaroring (7/8 July), Silverstone (UK, 1/2 September), the home round in Monza (22/23 September) and Barcelona (Spain, 20/21 October).
