RLR/Mike Smith are pleased to announce their driver line-up for the Michelin Le Mans Cup

Ross Warburton will lead RLR’s attack on the Michelin Le Mans Cup and will be joined by Alex Kapadia from RLR’s ELMS LMP3 lineup.

Ross competed in ELMS in 2016 and knows the LMP3 Ligier well and is the owner of RLR’s LMP2 car.

Ross commented “…I’m really pleased to be back with RLR this year in the Ligier and looking forward to racing with and learning from Alex. The jump into ELMS straight from GT racing was a steep learning curve but I hope to put that experience to good use in 2017. ‘

Alex , a former Radical champion and experienced LMP racer will no doubt be one of the  front runners in the Le Mans Cup.

Alex commented “I’m really excited to be working with Ross in the Michelin Le Mans Cup series this year, RLR are a great team to work with so we hope to be able to challenge at the front.”

The Team commented ‘This represents another step along the road for the team.  The Le Mans Cup fits well with our ELMS programme, from a logistical point of view.   It also has the added attraction of a stand alone round supporting main Le Mans 24 hours race. Ross is an integral part of the team and along with Alex they should prove to be a strong pairing given Alex’s proven speed’
