Salih Yoluc set for Blancpain Endurance Cup Silverstone challenge

Salih Yoluc is looking forward to the challenge of Silverstone with RAM Racing in his #49 Mercedes-AMG GT3 in what is a fresh start following the opening round of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at Monza last month.

While the Italian round of the championship didn’t go to plan following a high-speed accident in qualification, Yoluc showed a great turn of speed and alongside teammate Euan Hankey and had high expectations of a strong event.

Heading to Silverstone, where he will race alongside Hankey and Darren Burke, Yoluc carries momentum from the first round of the FIA World Endurance Championship where he helped TF Sport to an impressive second position on their series debut.

“This is my second endurance event of the season and I’m looking forward to it,” Salih explained. “We had a good result in WEC a few weeks ago and I feel I am driving well, so I’m looking forward to getting my Blancpain season off to a good start at Silverstone. Obviously, Monza didn’t happen, but we’ve had a good test at Silverstone in the Mercedes and now I’m looking forward to the weekend.

“We’re not underestimating the competition. It is a tough Pro-Am class with 12 cars, so we expect to have quite a fight for position, but it’s all good preparation for the biggest race of the year.”

Salih is first on track on Friday for the Bronze driver test, followed by practice, qualifying and the main race which gets underway at 15.00 BST Sunday.
