Series Elite Jaguar F-TYPE GT4 Launched in Mayfair

We are delighted to showcase the Series Elite Jaguar F-TYPE GT4 race car at our Jaguar retailer in Mayfair. It’s one of only twenty cars that have been produced for an extra-special race series, called Series Elite.

About the Car

The sound of the car tells you much of what you need to know. The roar from the supercharged 5.0-litre 470PS V8 (the same one found in the F-TYPE SVR – a car capable of 200mph) as it made its way from the delivery vehicle into our retailer saw plenty of people stop, stare and listen. Where it differs from the SVR (apart from the extreme aero package and weight saving) is that it’s rear-wheel drive only, meeting FIA GT4 regulations.

Other essential racing modifications include an Xtrac 6 speed sequential gearbox, adjustable suspension and an FIA-spec roll cage.

Initially developed for the Invictus Games Racing series, the F-TYPE GT4 was designed and engineered at Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations in Coventry, muscling in on the increasingly popular GT4 class of racers.

About the Event

The official press launch of the Series Elite Jaguar F-TYPE GT4 took place at Stratstone of Mayfair Jaguar in the afternoon of 24 April 2018. Customers were invited for drinks and canapes while they took a closer look at the F-TYPE GT4 in all its splendour, covered in striking Series Elite livery. Guests that attended the launch were also able to find out more information about the exclusive new race series.

About Series Elite

Series Elite is a new one-make racing series and the brainchild of Totally Motorsport Group Holdings, a consortium with plenty of knowledge and experience of the motorsport industry.

It’s a turnkey series that is exclusive for racing drivers who are aged 50 and older. The unique offering of a competitive level playing field with more mature drivers will be of interest to high net-worth individuals who want to do some serious racing in a serious car.

The uniqueness of Series Elite is further extended by the off-track activities such as ice driving, attending sporting and charity events as well as exclusive dinners. Many of these opportunities will be held in collaboration with Jaguar.

While the drivers will own the cars, every aspect of getting them to, from and around the race circuits will be taken care of for them. From travel, accommodation and hospitality to race-preparation and transporting the cars, everything will be arranged to require the minimum time and effort for the drivers, allowing them to fit taking part in an exhilarating race series into their busy lifestyle.

Series Elite Race Schedule

The inaugural Series Elite race weekend will headline a BARC race schedule between 27-28 October 2018 at Brands Hatch. Other tracks lined up for the full 2019 season include Silverstone, Donington, Rockingham in addition to an as of yet unspecified international event for the season finale.
