Shanghai homecoming for Jackie Chan DC Racing x JOTA Sport

With just two races remaining in this year’s FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), LMP2 leaders Jackie Chan DC Racing x JOTA Sport have their sights set on victory and crucial championship points, as the team returns to China to compete in this weekend’s 6 Hours of Shanghai. The Chinese history-making team is determined to succeed in its home race and to reward fans of the #FortuneCat37 and #Mighty38 for their enthusiastic support.

Jackie Chan DC Racing x JOTA Sport arrives in Shanghai with a 10-point lead over its next closest rivals. Following a podium finish last month in Fuji, the team is focused on strengthening its lead in the ultra-competitive LMP2 category ahead of the season finale in Bahrain. With preparation a vital component of success in the world’s most prestigious endurance championship, the entire team has been hard at ensure the weekend is wheel-perfect.

Ahead of this weekend’s race, Jackie Chan DC Racing x JOTA Sport received an ecstatic welcome in Shanghai. On Wednesday, FortuneCat#37 ORECA drivers David Cheng, Alex Brundle and Tristan Gommendy, and Ho-Pin Tung, Oliver Jarvis and Thomas Laurent, drivers of the #Mighty38 ORECA, had the chance to meet some of their legions of Chinese fans along Shanghai’s famous Bund. The drivers then took the Shanghai Metro back to the Shanghai International Circuit using limited edition Jackie Chan DC Racing x JOTA Sport Shanghai Metro cards. For the first time in FIA WEC history, the Shanghai Metro has produced special issue metro tickets ahead of the 6 Hours of Shanghai, which feature the #Mighty38.

Jackie Chan DC Racing x JOTA Sport fans will have the opportunity to watch this weekend’s 6 Hours of Shanghai via a live broadcast on major Chinese internet platforms, including Tencent, Sina and Douyu, beginning with a preview on Friday. Both Saturday’s qualifying session and Sunday’s race will be broadcast live.
