Just finished the second round of the International GT Open at Spa. Unusual scenery on Saturday, characterized by torrential temperatures, clamorous for these latitudes, and a Sunday that saw, as a script, a violent rainfall crash on a stretch of the circuit.
In race1 Thomas Biagi and Giovanni Venturini, with the Huracan GT3 of the Imperiale Racing team, succeed in limiting the damage, closing the ninth place, however in the points area.
Different scenario in Race 2. Early change of weather during qualifying, disputed under the water. The Biagi-Venturini crew, taken from the eighth place, retrieves positions up to sixth place and then saw the vanished job done because of a sudden nubifragio that forces the Huracan GT3 of the Imperial team to return to the boxes again The tire change, only a few minutes after the pit stop has already been made.
The race is thus neutralized by the safety car up to ten minutes from the end. Thomas Biagi cut the finish line in ninth position, best Lamborghini on track and third in the PRO category.

“In the current state of affairs, the BOP does not give credit to the work of the team and the drivers. In these conditions of obvious disadvantage, having completed the two races, however, in the points area, and having ranked fourth in the standings, is, however, a positive result. We look forward to BOP (balance of performance, ndr) correctional fidelity that can make us return to the positions that stand for us by team and riders. I compliment the Pole di Vito (Postillion, ndr) and I’m sorry for the bad luck in the race.”
The overall ranking sees the team in fourth place, 22 points out of the summit.
Next appointment on June 10-11 on Paul Ricard track.
