While the first round of the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge is underway at the Circuit of the Americas this weekend, fans across the globe will enjoy extensive coverage of SRO’s three American series, with extensive TV and online broadcasts combining live programming and highlights around the world, representing a massive increase over 2018.
The launch of the Blancpain GT World Challenge concept will take the ingredients that have ensured success in Europe and Asia and replicate them in America this year, meaning that viewers will be able to follow the three domestic series live on network television.
In the United States and Canada, CBS Sports Network will broadcast most of the Blancpain GT World Challenge America races live, further to a multi-year television deal between SRO Motorsports America and CBS Sports Network. CBS Sports Network will show more that 200 hours, with Blancpain TV World Challenge America, Pirelli GT4 America and TC America all benefitting from increased coverage. This weekend’s races will be shown as live in the USA and Canada.
Fox Sports will air this weekend’s highlights all over the globe via Fox Latin America, Fox Asia and Fox Africa. Fox Sports Europe will air the Blancpain GT World Challenge America in Turkey, Israel, Malta, Greece and Cyprus, with the latter two nations also served by NOVA Sports. The Netherlands will receive similar coverage from RTL 7.
European viewers will enjoy extensive coverage, with Eurosport broadcasting highlights in more than 60 territories across the continent. This includes key regions such as Germany, Spain and France, with the latter enjoying a combination of live action and highlights in 2019.
In China, the American races will be streamed live on multiple China-based digital platforms such as Youku, Huya, SMG, Panda TV and DouYu, the digital audience is forecast to exceed 1.5 million viewers.
In addition to the TV coverage on offer, registered fans will have the opportunity to watch the races live thanks to online broadcasting. All SRO Motorsports America events will be streamed live on their respective websites, meaning every second will be available to watch as it happens.
