Steller Motorsport Livery Springs British GT Championship Surprise!

British GT Championship GT4 team Steller Motorsport has revealed the concept behind the livery which its pair of upgraded Toyota GT86 GT4s are sporting in this year’s championship.

At the season-opening round at Oulton Park, despite many fans getting a close-up look at the GT86 GT4s’ camoflague liveries, few noticed just what the livery actually shows.

In fact the geometric shapes on the cars are stylised outlines of the all the British GT Championship circuits on the 2018 calendar: Oulton Park, Rockingham, Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone and Donington Park.

The liveries, created by Chris Briggs Design was selected by the team during the off-season, as a point of pride in the Buckingham-based team’s 2018 programme, to showcase the stunning selection of circuits the team will visit during the season.

“We wanted to do something different for this season,” said team owner Gary Blackham. “Along with our re-launch as Steller Motorsport, we wanted to make sure that our GT86 GT4s turned-heads in looks as well as in results.

“The British GT Championship visits, we think, some of the best circuits in the world, so making our cars a tribute to some of the UK’s top venues, as well as Spa, felt like a good idea. We hope our fans love the look of the GT86 GT4s as much as we do.”

The question now is, can you spot all seven circuits on the cars?

Steller Motorsport will be back in action this weekend for the third race of the British GT season at Rockingham Motor Speedway. The two-hour race is set to begin at 13:10 local time on Sunday.
