Steller Motorsport have announced today that the team is to miss this coming weekend’s Spa Francorchamps round for the 2018 British GT Championship.
The move comes after supplier delays hit the team, and their associated engineering arm, Steller Engineering’s programme, which is addressing reliability issues that have prevented the full performance potential of their in-house developed Toyota GT86 GT4 cars from being demonstrated in recent rounds.
Team Principal Gary Blackham said:
“We’re really disappointed not to be making the trip to Spa, a highlight on the calendar, but we have been unable to complete the programme of updates started since the Silverstone round a month ago with a couple of supplier delays costing us dearly.
“We remain completely committed to the Championship, and are also developing a programme which will see the cars competing in a number of other GT4 races at the end of the 2018 season.”
