The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 is continuing to dominate in international GT races. After winning four consecutive rounds in the Blancpain GT Series championship, at Monza, Race 1 and 2 at Brands Hatch and Silverstone, the car # 19 of Grasser Racing Team also took the win at Lausitzring, in second round of the German Championship ADAC GT Masters.
The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of the Austrian team has now reached five consecutive victories in less than a month, thanks to the professionalism of the team and drivers, as well as a balanced set-up of the car, which are giving brilliant results after so many months of work.

The weekend on the German circuit started with an excellent third place in Race 1 obtained by the Lamborghini Squadra Corse Factory Driver Mirko Bortolotti, who races with the Argentinian GT3 Junior Driver Ezequiel Perez Companc in the ADAC GT Masters Championship.

The turning point arrived on Sunday morning: during the second qualifying session, Mirko Bortolotti scored a stunning pole position with a laptime of 1’21″533, about two tenths faster than the sister car of Grasser Racing Team driven by the Factory Driver Christian Engelhart, Bortolotti’s teammate in the Blancpain GT Series, but he shares the car cockpit with Rolf Ineichen in the ADAC GT.

During qualifying, Engelhart was just 13 centiseconds faster than the Audi R8 LMS of the team Montaplast, driven by Christopher Haase.

With twenty-eight cars on the track, seventeen of which were enclosed in one second only after qualifying, at the start of Race 2 Mirko Bortolotti adopted his usual strategy: qualifying pace from the first corner to earn as much margin as possible over his pursuers.
And so it was. At the driver change, Ezequiel Perez Companc took over the Huracán GT3 # 19 from Bortolotti with more than five seconds of advantage over his direct opponents. The excellent stint done by the GT3 Junior Driver of Lamborghini Squadra Corse enabled Grasser Racing Team to take its first win in the 2017 ADAC GT Masters, ahead of the Audi R8 LMS of the team Montaplast, driven by the 2016 champions Connor De Phillippi and Christopher Mies.

The sister car #63 of Grasser Racing Team also did an amazing race, after starting from the first row. In the early stages of the race, the Lamborghini Factory Driver Christian Engelhart fought for a long time to maintain a leading position. In the last part of the race, his teammate Rolf Ineichen was skillful in defending his third position from the attacks of the Corvette of Callaway Competition, thus scoring a well-deserved podium finish.

The next round of the ADAC GT Masters Championship is scheduled on June 9-11 in Austria, at the Red Bull Ring.
