Ils ne seront pas 36 mais bien 37 au départ des 6 Heures de Spa le samedi 5 mai à l’occasion du lancement de la Super Saison.
Le renfort nous vient du G-Drive Racing qui fera rouler son ORECA 07 pour Jean-Eric Vergne, Roman Rusinov et un troisième pilote qui reste à être annoncé.
Avec dix LMP1, le plateau prend de l’ampleur par rapport aux saisons passées. Il reste encore quelques baquets à pourvoir chez CEFC TRSM Racing sur les deux Ginetta G60-LT-P1. Même chose chez ByKolles Racing et SMP Racing. On sait tout de même que l’équipage de la BR1/SMP Racing #17 affiche complet avec Stéphane Sarrazin, Matevos Isaakyan et Egor Orudzhev. Mikhail Aleshin et Vitaly Petrov sont confirmés sur la #11. DragonSpeed fera rouler Pietro Fittipaldi sur la BR1/DragonSpeed.
Du côté du LMP2, Nathanaël Berthon épaulera Roberto Gonzalez et Pastor Maldonado sur l’ORECA 07/DragonSpeed. Le seul baquet inconnu concerne l’ORECA 07/Jackie Chan DC Racing #38.
Aucune surprise en GTE-Pro où Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK alignera trois pilotes dans ses Ford GT en vue des 24 Heures du Mans.
En GTE-Am, le Dempsey Proton Racing commence à avancer ses pions. Khaled Al Qubaisi retrouvera le team allemand et le FIA WEC sur la Porsche 911 RSR #88 où il épaulera Giorgio Roda et Matteo Cairoli. Christian Ried et Matt Campbell sont annoncés sur la #77.
Notons que le Jackie Chan DC Racing et le Dempsey Proton Racing n’ont pas encore communiqué de manufacturier pneumatique. Michelin équipera trois LMP2 (DragonSpeed, Racing Team Nederland, Larbre Compétition)
